Zakiyah Harrison
Originally from Virginia, I moved to Arizona two years ago and have been grateful for the many opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.
I am married with two children. My father is of Native American descent and introduced me to the concept of living off the land and the reciprocity that happens between nature and humans. My mother had me accompany her on her path to spiritual discovery by bringing me with her to church services and opening my eyes to mental, spiritual, and emotional integration from others.
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of growing up in Unity Ministries and attending our church retreats in Bowie, Maryland. One retreat theme, “You Are Perfect Exactly As You Are,” has stayed with me throughout my life and continues to shape how I see and encourage others. That message of God’s love and inherent worth inspired me to become a youth ministry teacher, where I strive to help young people recognize their purpose and value.
Today, I serve as a Holistic Healing Arts Practitioner, carrying that same heart for compassion, encouragement, and whole-person well-being into the work I do each day.
