Greetings,
We are off to a great start under our new leadership in the Youth Ministry! A few glitches to overcome but that is to be expected in a time of transition and growth. As you have probably noticed, our program has grown significantly in the last few months. An answered prayer! Now that we have more children, we could use a few more teachers/aids. We will also be creating a substitute list. The commitment for teachers is only one Sunday a month. Please look into your heart and see if you are called to this ministry! We are having a teacher training this month and that is a great place to get started! If any of these positions appeal to you, please feel free to contact me for more information.
Our “first” teacher meeting was very well attended. There were many great ideas/suggestions of how to make our already fantastic Sunday School program, even better. I felt very honored and supported by these wonderful folks. Thanks to all of you for your wonderful insight and commitment to our program.
Our curriculum for the upcoming weeks will follow along with Adventure in Spirit. “Wisdom Walk” offers an amazing opportunity to bring church and family together. The activities in this book are a wonderful way for us to expand on the teachings at home. I am excited to share these teachings with our children in the church setting and also to extend it into my home life.
I would like to extend a big thank you to Suzy Delgado, our new Assistant Youth Director. She is an amazing woman and a wonderful asset to this program. Thank you Suzy! Your commitment and efforts are much appreciated. And I thank all of you for welcoming me into this position with warmth and gratitude.
