Green Committee Mission Statement

The mission of the Green Committee of the Unity of Prescott is to research and share with the staff and congregation understandings and actions that demonstrate our caring and respect for the sustainable balance of nature and the sanctity of creation now and in the future.

THANK YOU! … THANK YOU! … THANK YOU!!

Your Green Committee heartily thanks all who gave to the Solar Energy Fund above and beyond your regular support of Unity.  Ten new, American made solar panels will be installed  on the south east end of our church building roof where they can be seen from the road.  By putting our money to work capturing renewable solar energy, Unity demonstrates our Earth Care commitment and practical Christianity.

Genesis 2:15:  “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to till it and care for it.” \

We’ve been blessed, through your support, to accomplish many of our goals outlined in our mission, and we look forward to continued success in our Earth Care commitment.

Earth Day

EarthCare Certification Received!
Unity of Prescott’s continuing efforts to recycle, conserve water, make our church home energy efficient and care for Acker Park have been recognized by Unity Worldwide Ministries’ Earthcare Team with this certification. We join 19 other Unity congregations in our spiritual and physical commitment to the care, support and defense of the balance between our individual needs and those of nature.

Unity Adopts a Creek!
Stay tuned for more fun in Acker Park. A huge thanks to all who helped care for Acker Park on November 6; especially Rick Cleland and the Youth & Family Ministry for the great BBQ that energized our work in the Park. We had fun building water bars on the trails, painting the amphitheater, installing picnic tables, AND creating rock art in the creek.
