Sometimes trying to be part of a church can be a little bit intimidating . . .
That’s why Unity of Prescott offers a wide variety of small groups and gatherings through which it is easy to make friends, deeper connections and loving relationships in our spiritual community.
Connecting and getting to know others at Unity of Prescott is easy! We have several on-going adult education classes — check them out under Spiritual Education. Plus, we have several other small group activities that are available to help you feel connected at Unity.
For more information about these long-term small groups, or to express an interest in forming your own, contact Genna Herron, Volunteer Coordinator, genna-unity@hotmail.com.
Volunteer!
We have lots of opportunities to work in small groups and meet new people. This is a great way to get involved in the life of Unity.
Sunday Morning Fellowship
Following both services downstairs in Fellowship Hall
Every Sunday morning after services we have a team of volunteers who provide coffee and tasty treats downstairs in Fellowship Hall. This is your chance to meet with old friends and make new ones!
Join the Choir!
Choir practice on Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm, in the Sanctuary
Cindy Lewis, our Choir Director, welcomes everyone with the desire to make a joyful noise. If you have questions, please call Cindy through the church office.
If you’ve been away from the choir, come back! If you’ve been thinking about joining, here’s your nudge! If you know of a singer seeking a spiritual home, suggest joining our choir. We need singers of all experience (including none!) in every section. We’ll teach you to read music and how to watch for flying stuffed animals! Singing is praying twice, and our mission is to use our music as a way to bless ourselves and the people we serve. Come help us raise the vibration through song!
Unity Classes
Here at Unity we offer a variety of classes on spiritual principles. Learning is something that we are engaged in all the time, whether we are formally taking classes or not. Yet, there is something special about joining together with a group of people to discuss a topic that will challenge us to reexamine what we believe, to expand our awareness of spiritual principles and how they apply in our lives.
A Course in Miracles
Tuesdays: 6-8pm, in the Unity Education Center
Thursdays: 9-11am, in the Unity Education Center
Led by Rev. Charmaine Emerald
Let us raise our hearts from dust to life as we remember this is promised us, and that this course was sent to open up the path to us, step by step, how to return to the Eternal Self we thought we lost.
A Course in Miracles is a program of spiritual discovery – uncovering the miracle-working power within us. The teachings are universal: combining the insights of contemporary psychology, spiritual wisdom of the East, essence of Christianity, and the principles of New Thought. Its focus is on practical solutions to everyday living. The goal of the Course is the removal of blocks we have established to the awareness of Love’s presence. Required book: A Course in Miracles (available in our Awakening Thoughts Bookstore or Lending Library).
